Sometimes simple changes can make a big difference to your homes street appeal. If your homes house numbers or lettering were put there 30 years ago it may be time for a change (unless of course they are really cool).

Green Sells Homes
Going green is a
compelling feature for selling homes. Recent NWMLS statistics put together by GreenWorks Realty prove the theory many have been operating on and that is the presupposition that going “green” sells a home faster and for more money.
The NWMLS created a search criteria for buyers to be able to search for Green certified homes. This has created the ability for buyers to find homes that have “green” certifications or green features more easily. And it’s given statistical data for those who care.
Here are the most current Green stats based on data from the NWMLS:
In King County:
The median price for a green certified home was approximately 4% more than a non-certified home.
The “days on market” for a green certified home was approximately 18% less.
And the price per foot was higher for a green certified home by about 37%.
Recognize that the statistical information is based solely on new construction. But resale sellers beware Built Green has just released a remodel certification. Resale sellers will be able to distinguish their homes now with a 1, 2,3, 4 or 5 star certification. Download new Built Green remodeler checklist here.
